CR Fashion Book "A SURREALIST ACCOUNT OF: AFTER DARK"OFFICIAL SELECTION: LONDON FASHION FILM FESTIVALA Surrealist account of: After Dark is set in the Italian pagan town of Alberobello. This historic place is depicted by astrological symbols and love ceremonies. CR Fashion book collaborated with New York based Director Eduardo Gonzalez and London based poet, artist and model Greta Bellamacina to create a short Surrealist fashion film. It is inspired by the works of André Breton, Giséle Prassinos, Luis Buñuel and Jacques-André Boiffard. The film is played out through the poetic words of a character living in the modern world struggling to embody her true self. Her imagery of her genuine spirit is juxtaposed and empowered by the sunset and the magic of the place. After Dark aims to philosophically question the reality of self; whilst concluding later the humanity and kindness of a place and its people this is reaffirmed later in the film by one of the locals.

The Fourhundred MagazineThe Four Hundred”evocates the drama of American Society at the height of the Gilded Age, when New York’s society was shaken by the arrival of ever increasing numbers of new rich, mining bonanza kings, railroad barons and industrialists, who ascended to unimaginable wealth, during the economic transformation triggered by the industrial revolution.Caroline Astor was the self crowned queen of New York (and Newport) Society, who set herself the task, to regulate society and keep the new rich of the Gilded Age out. In the winter season of 1872-73 to build up her list of socially prominent New Yorkers, therefore designating twenty five patriarchs, who would define society, by inviting to each ball of the season, four ladies and five gentlemen. In addition to the thereby convened 250 people, an undefined number of visiting guests, prominent people from other cities, and debutantes would be invited directly by Mrs Astor. Allegedly derived from the capacity of Mrs Astor’s ballroom, the “Four Hundred” represented the epitome of New York Society during the last quarter of the 19th century. The Patriarch Balls held at Mrs Astor’s mansions would go on until 1897. Of the last of these balls, held in the winter season 1891-92, Ward McAllister gave a list to the New York Times. For the first time after many years of guessing, the public was shown the official list of Mrs Astor’s Four Hundred and thereby the names of society’s sacred inner circle.

Mordekai x Ken Borochov feat. Liza ThornMORDEKAI by Ken Borochov is the luxury line of avant-garde accessories created by designer and stylist Ken Borochov. Specializing in the controversially chic, MORDEKAI is influenced by the pageantry of Hollywood and Las Vegas and the swagger of performers and artists like Cher, Andy Warhol, Madonna, Leigh Bowery and Etta James. Black culture, self-expression, royalty, power and extravagance in excess are all themes represented throughout the twice-yearly collections. Borochov uses aircraft-grade aluminum, brass, gold, exotic feathers, leather and pearls. Collections are designed in New York and produced in the USA. Custom service is welcomed—and jaw-dropping details are free of charge.KEN BOROCHOV is the man behind Lady Gaga’s many signature accessories—from her infamous Claw to her custom 24-karat gold wheelchair. He’s also credited with crafting Kanye West a Renaissance-inspired crown and outfitting Nicki Minaj in jewelry for The Pink Friday Tour, among other performances. A graduate of both New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and the esteemed French couture school, Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, Borochov has climbed the ranks at top fashion houses including Celine, Lanvin, Chloe and Christian Dior. A stylist by trade, he has worked with the industry’s best. Borochov founded his almost-eponymous brand (it’s named for his father) in 2010 after searching fruitlessly for pieces with the “wow” factor he wanted to see on set. He began producing his own designs and what started organically soon became a passion project that was getting noticed near and far. Borochov’s artful headpieces and jewelry have been featured in every top international and domestic fashion publication and he’s frequently commissioned for custom work.Coco Chanel might have said: "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory." MORDEKAI says: "Put three more on and a crown!"

Glass NYCJohn Glass is the hip new designer behind GLASS, one of our favorite made-in-NYC swimwear lines that debuted last spring. The born and bred New Yorker split his time between Martha's Vineyard and London while growing up, and decided to put his design genius into swimwear after teaching himself how to properly tailor. With bold prints and super cool designs, Glass revealed the inspiration behind his line to Style.com last year. “I kept thinking, What would both Gianni Agnelli and Jean-Michel Basquiat wear [to the pool]?” said Glass. He wanted people to "wear them anywhere you want to be happy, from a sailboat in the Mediterranean to a hot day in NYC." Read on for more reasons to know him!
